Responsibility & sustainability at HUSKS


At HUSKS, sustainability and safety are our top priorities. That’s why we only offer products that have been carefully selected and/or certified to the highest standards. Many of our items carry the GOTS certificate (Global Organic Textile Standard), a leading standard that guarantees that textiles are made from organically grown fibers and meet strict environmental and social criteria. In addition, we have products with the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, which means that they have been tested for harmful substances and are completely safe for children’s sensitive skin.


Environmentally friendly materials

We believe in the power of natural materials and sustainable production. For example, we make most of our range from organic cotton and 100% merino wool:

  • Organic cotton is grown without harmful pesticides or chemicals and is soft, hypoallergenic and perfect for baby's delicate skin.

  • Merino wool is naturally breathable, moisture regulating and antibacterial. This luxurious material keeps your little one comfortable, warm in winter and cool in summer, without itching.

Our collaboration with certified partners ensures that every product is made with respect for people and nature. Whether it is clothing, blankets or accessories, you can be sure that HUSKS stands for quality and responsibility.


Locally made products

 In addition to our collaborations, we also create part of our range ourselves. Our own line of products is manufactured locally, with attention to both design and sustainability. From our soft, reusable muslin cloths to our carefully crafted baby blankets, each item is produced with love and craftsmanship.

Even our locally made aromatherapy soap bars are a model of responsibility. Made from natural ingredients and packaged in eco-friendly materials, they contribute to a cleaner world. Furthermore, we support social initiatives by involving day care centers in packaging these soaps.

Reusability & circular choices

We encourage customers to consume more consciously. Our products are designed to last, to be passed on or to be given a second life. Returned items are made available in our store at a lower price or donated to families in third world countries, so that they are valuable again.

Sustainable transport & packaging
Our webshop orders are shipped from our warehouse in the Netherlands, using 100% climate neutral packaging. This FSC certified paper packaging is reusable for returns and is produced using renewable energy. We minimize our ecological footprint by choosing eco-friendly transport options and careful packaging materials.
