Merino wool is a high-quality, natural type of wool known for its exceptional properties. The fibres are much finer than regular wool, which means merino wool does not itch, but instead feels silky soft on delicate baby skin. In addition, merino wool is naturally temperature-regulating: it keeps your baby warm when it's cold and wicks away excess heat when it gets warmer. This keeps the head at a comfortable temperature at all times.

Moreover, merino wool is breathable, moisture-regulating, and self-cleaning, keeping the hat comfortable for daily use and requiring less frequent washing. In the first few weeks after birth, the hat helps to retain body heat, which is important for your baby's well-being.

You don't need to pre-wash wool. Wool is naturally self-cleaning, so it doesn't need to be washed often, even during use. Airing it regularly is usually enough to freshen up the garment.

Washing machine: use the wool wash program, cold or max. 30°C, with wool detergent and a low spin cycle (± 400 rpm).

Drying: never wring; gently press out water in a towel and dry flat.

Stains & care:
Small stains can be cleaned locally.
Pilling is normal for wool; remove pills carefully with a clothes brush or lint roller.

Important: never use fabric softener – this damages the wool fiber.
